An Integrated Solution for Steam Custody Transfer
Sierra Instruments' Innova-Mass SCT vortex mass flow meter is a
simple, cost-effective solution for steam custody transfer
operations. The instrument provides a direct reading of steam
mass flow rate, temperature, and pressure from a single
installed device. A pressure isolation valve allows the operator
to isolate the pressure sensor from the process to calibrate or
validate pressure sensor accuracy without removing the meter
from the line, or replace the sensor in the event of a failure.
A built-in flow computer incorporates peak demand software to
calculate maximum demand at 5-minute intervals, and an
integrated modem stores and permits access to a week's worth of
data. Flow, temperature, pressure, and date/time information can
be accessed via the client's computer to resolve billing and
contract disputes, or analyze consumption trends and control
production costs.
